Henry Moorhead is a founding Principal of Corner Point Advisors where he focuses on
assisting businesses manage through financial distress and lenders as they deal with problematic
loans. For business clients, he addresses both a company’s cost and capital structure challenges
and with lenders, his efforts support proactive management of loan portfolios.
Henry has more than 40 years of wide-ranging entrepreneurial finance experience executing
complex finance and M&A transactions, restructuring companies for profitable growth, as well as
founding, growing, and ultimately monetizing multiple companies and investment vehicles. Mr.
Moorhead’s career highlights include:
• Buy- and sell-side lead on multiple merger and acquisition transactions
• Execution of first ever securitization of franchise restaurant loans
• Co-founded and grew specialty finance company to a national presence and eventual sale to a global bank
• Formation of private equity-backed opportunity fund focused on acquisition of distressed real estate
• Led $5 billion debt capital markets platform for sponsor of public and private investment vehicles
• Finance and valuation lead on launch and deployment of SEC-registered private equity investment fund
• Wind-down and liquidation of $1.5B hospitality REIT and $200M industrial property REIT
• Successful restructuring of multiple companies both inside and outside bankruptcy protection
Over the years, Henry has developed relationships with a multitude of lending institutions ranging from specialty finance companies to small community and large global banks and has become known as the “bank whisperer” because of his success in finding win-win solutions to the most challenging transactions.
Mr. Moorhead holds an MBA from the University of Florida with concentrations in Accounting and Finance and a BA in Finance from the University of North Florida.
