During her 15-year professional career, Ms. Torbert has worked with businesses in a wide range of industries, including private wealth advisory, public accounting, banking, real estate, and non-profit. Danielle began her career in ultra-high net worth wealth management, serving clients with $50 million in net assets or greater. Specializing in financial, tax and estate analysis, Danielle implemented a holistic approach to review assets, create cash flow projections, and suggest practical solutions to help clients achieve their goals. Danielle was also responsible for evaluating insurance coverages, legal entity structures and liquidity needs. By creating flow charts and other visualizations, she was able to educate clients and assist them in making sound financial decisions.
During the past 8 years, Danielle has taken on projects in various industries. She has helped multiple organizations file for non-profit tax status, create articles of organization, and set up operational procedures. She worked with the Information Technology department of an international airline to streamline processes for maintaining, distributing, and tracking new hardware and software for 3,000+ employees. She assisted in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements for a management company that operates over 260 retirement communities nationwide. She also worked several years in the tax practice of public accounting firm preparing federal and state income tax returns, quarterly estimated tax and extension calculations for Non-Profits, Partnerships, Individuals and Trusts.
Ms. Torbert has worked with executive leadership teams, board members, high net worth families, staff accountants and everyone in between. Her ability to connect and communicate with people, while also enjoying the back office number crunching, set her apart in the financial services industry.
She partnered with Mr. Moorhead in early 2020 to assist a client working through Chapter 11 bankruptcy. She was responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting and financial reporting function as well as preparation of monthly operating reports and other bankruptcy-related reporting. In this role, she was invaluable in working through federal, state, and local tax challenges that the company was facing.
Danielle received her Master’s in Taxation from the University of Central Florida and her Bachelors in Accounting from the University of Florida.
